Get A VPN to Protect and Hide Your Information From Your ISP

A lot of people don’t know that a new law was passed a couple months ago that will allow ISP (Internet Service Providers) like ATT, Time Warner, Spectrum, Comcast, etc… to sell your personal data without your permission.

Your ISP issues something called an IP address, this is a unique identifier that can be match up with its owner, reveals your general location and other information. Every site you visit using this IP is recorded, even if you use your internet to stream through Netflix, Hulu, Kodi, etc… your ISP has knowledge about this and this information is stored for years.

Lawrence Pingree, vice president and security analyst for Gartner, said, “For the ISPs that choose to spy on their users, the data could be used to build profiles of users and their interests by categorizing the URLs they go to. It can also allow ISPs to sell this data as a fee to advertisers, political parties, and other organizations to do real time behavioral profiling. It also can be used to give law enforcement a new data source they can subpoena.”

To protect and hide your information online you need a VPN (Virtual Private Network). A VPN uses a secure tunnel to connect to a remote server encrypting all data that travels through. But like everything there are good and the not so good VPN providers. The one I personally use on my laptop, Kodi Box, Amazon Firestick, is called IPVanish and it works for all my devices.

If you are one of my kodi firestick customers you need to get a VPN, in the UK they already started blocking IP addresses that stream through Kodi so is just a matter of time when they start blocking your IP here on the states.

I use IPVanish because its fast, doesnt slow down my internet speeds like other VPNs and the most important thing they do not record any activity or connection logs. You can check more information about IPVanish below the cost is like $10 a month they also have a yearly option that’s a lot less if you go that route.

Protecting your information online can be tough but it can be done, we are entering a new phase online
people. Take care of yourselves out there, and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them
